Toronto resident, 18, dead in central Ontario shooting, police say

OPP say the death of an 18-year-old from Toronto in a central Ontario shooting on Friday is now deemed a homicide.

Officers say they found Tryce James with gunshot wounds at a Midland, Ont., apartment complex Friday evening.

First responders say James was rushed to hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police say they believe the shooting was an isolated incident, and there is no widespread threat to the community.

Police have not yet identified a suspect.

Officers say their investigation is ongoing and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
