Woman, 23, charged after infant found dead in Brampton, Ont., home

BRAMPTON — A 23-year-old woman from Brampton, Ont., is facing a criminal charge after police say they found a dead infant inside a home.
Police in Peel Region say officers responded to a call in the area of Kennedy Road North and Williams Parkway at around 8:23 p.m. on Sunday.
Police say officers found a dead infant inside the home when they arrived.
They say the woman was arrested and charged with concealing the body of a child after birth.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact them.
They say the incident is deeply distressing and officers who were involved are being provided with mental health support.
