Victim of Toronto home invasion says family is traumatized, as police seek suspects

Written by on October 30, 2026

TORONTO — The head of a corporate real estate firm whose family was attacked in a violent home invasion in Toronto’s affluent Bridle Path neighbourhood says they are traumatized by the experience and focused on recovery as police seek three suspects in the case.

David Morton, the CEO of MAC Group, says in a statement that three members of his family are recovering in hospital after being shot during the home invasion early yesterday.

He says all four members of his family were also attacked with a hammer.

Morton says the family is concerned about increasing violence linked to home invasions in the city and is urging anyone with information about the attack at his home to come forward.

Toronto police say they are looking for three young men, estimated to be about 20 years old, in their ongoing investigation.

The suspects fled in a dark-coloured SUV.
