Toronto man charged with sexual assault, break and enter at west-end apartment

TORONTO — Toronto police say a man is facing multiple charges after a break-in at a west-end apartment of two girls police allege he previously sexually assaulted.

Police say the accused worked as the superintendent of an apartment building near Islington Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard between May 2023 and October 2025 where they say he befriended two girls, aged 8 and 10.

They allege between January 2024 and October 2025 he sexually assaulted them multiple times.

Police say on Tuesday the man broke into the girl’s apartment and tried to lure one of them out.

They say the man, 52, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with breaking and enter, multiple sexual assault charges and child pornography charges.

Police are concerned there are more victims.
