Toronto man, 53, arrested after family members stabbed: police

TORONTO — A 53-year-old man has been arrested after police allege he stabbed family members at a home in Toronto’s north end.

He faces three counts each of aggravated assault and assault with weapon in addition to one count of assault causing bodily harm.

Police say they were called to the home near Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue around 9:45 p.m. last night where they found four people injured.

Police say two men aged 23 and 29 sustained serious stab wounds.

Two women aged 51 and 29 have non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not name the accused to protect the victims’ identities, and they are not looking for any other suspects.
