Written by on August 10, 2026

TORONTO — York regional police say a third suspect has been arrested after shootings at two Toronto-area synagogues earlier this year.

Police say they are not seeking any other suspects after the arrest of the 23-year-old man from Barrie, Ont.

The man has also been charged in two other separate shootings in the York region.

The targeted synagogues were Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto in Vaughan, Ont., on March 6 and Shaarei Shomayim synagogue in Toronto’s north end later that night.

Two other teenage suspects were arrested in May on charges related to those shootings.

Police say no injuries were reported but the buildings were damaged by gunfire.
