Teenage boy fell to his death in mall’s parking garage in Mississauga: SIU

Written by on November 15, 2025

MISSISSAUGA — Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating after an 18-year-old boy fell to his death from a parking garage at a Mississauga shopping mall.

The Special Investigations Unit says somebody called Peel Regional Police on Wednesday about a man in distress who was going to Square One Shopping Centre.

An officer found the 18-year-old man in the mall’s parking garage at around 2:20 p.m., and shortly after, he fell from the parking garage to the ground below. The man received emergency care but was later declared dead at the scene.

The SIU says it was notified about the incident and invoked its mandate because an officer was on scene at the time.

The autopsy was completed on Thursday, and one subject official, two investigators and one forensic investigator have been assigned to the case.

The agency is asking witnesses to come forward if they have any information or footage related to the incident.
