Written by on August 12, 2026

HAMILTON — Police in Hamilton say they have arrested a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man from the area on Sunday.

Police say Zenin Roussel was at King Street Billiards with the suspect, and a fight broke out outside once the bar closed.

Officers say they don’t know what the fight was about, and Roussel and the suspect left separately but ran into each other again minutes later at the scene of the stabbing.

Investigators say a taxi driver found Roussel with stab wounds and called police around 2:30 a.m.

Roussel later died in a hospital.

Police say a 26-year-old man from Hamilton is charged with second-degree murder.

Investigators add they have interviewed four other witnesses.

Police say Roussel is remembered as “a beloved grandson, son, big brother and a friend who touched many lives.”
