PWHL Hamilton signs forwards Vasko, Vespa to two-year deals

HAMILTON — PWHL Hamilton has signed forwards Alexa Vasko and Kayla Vespa to two-year contracts through the 2027-28 season, the expansion club announced Sunday.
The signings are the first for Hamilton as part of the league’s open signing period that began on Friday and allows all 12 teams to continue building their rosters in advance of the 2026-27 campaign.
Vasko, from St. Catharines, Ont., played the last two seasons in Ottawa, having two goals and one assist in 30 regular-season games with the Charge in 2025-26.
The 27-year-old centre anchored the Charge’s fourth line, having a 53.1 faceoff win percentage.
Vespa has played all three of her PWHL seasons for the New York Sirens after being selected by the club in the 13th round of the inaugural PWHL draft.
The 29-year-old from Hamilton appeared in all 30 regular-season games in 2025-26, contributing two assists.
