Police looking for suspect in two Toronto-area synagogue shootings

Police in Toronto and York Region are asking for the public’s help in identifying a young suspect in two synagogue shootings that happened in March.
Police say they obtained a court order to release photos of the suspect because he is believed to be a youth, and the images will be removed from circulation on Monday.
Toronto police said they found bullet holes in the doors of the Shaarei Shomayim synagogue after responding to gunshots just after midnight on March 7.
Earlier that night, York Region police responded to gunfire at the Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto synagogue in Vaughan, Ont.
In both cases, the buildings were damaged, but no injuries were reported.
The shootings came less than a week after another synagogue was hit by gunfire in Toronto’s north end.
The synagogue shootings drew widespread condemnation and police said they stepped up patrols around Jewish neighbourhoods and places of worship in response.
