Police investigating homicide in Kitchener, Ont., home

Waterloo Regional Police say they have launched a homicide investigation after a man died at a home in Kitchener, Ont.

Police say officers responded to a home in the area of Cameron Street North and Weber Street East on Monday at 9:30 a.m. for a well-being check.

They say officers located a man inside with significant injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a woman was taken into custody.

Investigators believe the woman and the victim are known to one another.

They say the investigation is ongoing and residents should expect an increased police presence in the area.
