Pedestrian hit last week by Toronto streetcar dies from injuries

TORONTO — Police say a pedestrian who was hit by a Toronto streetcar last week has died from his injuries.
Toronto police say the 62-year-old man was hit last Friday at around 6:30 p.m.
Police say he died Thursday.
They say the man was walking north across King Street at St. Lawrence Street when he was hit by an eastbound Toronto transit streetcar.
Police say he was initially sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The traffic unit continues to investigate.
