One person dead after North York fire: Toronto police

Toronto police say one person is dead after a fire in the city’s north end early Thursday morning.
Police say they responded to a report of two encampments on fire near Eglinton Avenue and Credit Union Drive in North York just before 4:30 a.m.
They say one person was found dead.
Toronto Fire Services says firefighters have extinguished an outdoor fire in the area.
Police say an investigation into the fire is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.
