Firefighters battle blaze at Toronto Humber Yacht Club

Written by on April 29, 2026

TORONTO — Toronto fire say they responded to a three-alarm blaze at the Toronto Humber Yacht Club this morning, sharing video from the scene showing a charred building missing most of its roof.

A spokesperson for the service says firefighters were dispatched shortly before 5 a.m., and arrived to find fire coming from all sides of the building and through the roof.

The spokesperson says no one was inside the building at the time and no injuries were reported.

They say the main body of the fire was out within about 20 minutes of firefighters arriving, though the structure is still smouldering in some places.

They say crews will remain at the yacht club, located on the west bank of the Humber River in Toronto’s west end, for 24 hours to ensure the fire stays out.

Last month, Toronto city council voted to end the Toronto Humber Yacht Club’s lease.
