Fire that gutted Toronto Humber Yacht Club now being investigated as arson: police

TORONTO — Toronto police say a fire that tore through a historic yacht club on Wednesday is now being investigated as arson.
Fire officials said they were dispatched to a three-alarm fire at Toronto Humber Yacht Club shortly before 5 a.m. and arrived to find flames coming from all sides of the building and through the roof.
No one was inside the building at the time and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters said the main body of the fire was knocked down within 20 minutes, and there was significant damage to the building.
In a social media post Wednesday, the club said it was “deeply saddened by the devastating fire.”
The club said it was fully co-operating with the ongoing investigation.
