Body of slain Brampton, Ont., man found dumped in Hamilton culvert: police

HAMILTON — Hamilton police have identified the slain man who was dumped in a culvert near the city’s harbourfront as a 29-year-old Brampton, Ont., truck driver.
Police say Taranpreet Singh Sidhu was found dead near the north end of Fruitland Road on Wednesday morning.
They say investigators are confident he was not killed there, but they are not prepared to release information about the vehicle believed to have been used to move him.
Police say the man immigrated from India in 2022 and has since lived in Brampton and Halifax while working as a truck driver.
Investigators say they continue to review evidence to establish his movements leading up to his death.
Police say the homicide unit is working closely with police in Peel Region.
