WINDSOR — Police in southern Ontario say a woman has been charged with the assault of two children who were running a lemonade stand.
Windsor police say officers were called on the night of Aug. 3 to a report of an assault in a residential area of Gladstone Avenue.
They say two boys — an eight-year-old and a 13-year-old — had set up a lemonade stand and reported that a woman who approached “became hostile.”
Police say one child was pushed and the other fell to the ground after his chair was flipped.
They say both children sustained minor injuries.
Investigators say they later arrested a 61-year-old woman, who now faces two counts of assault.
