Woman shot and killed in northwest Toronto, police investigating

TORONTO — Police say a woman was shot and killed in northwest Toronto this morning.
They say it happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. in the area of Humberwood and Rexdale boulevards.
Police received reports of a woman with gunshot wounds and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
They say the suspect fled before officers arrived.
Investigators have not released information about what led up to the shooting.
They are asking anyone with information to contact police.
