Seven injured after car crashes into mall fitness centre in London, Ont.: paramedics

LONDON — Seven people in London, Ont., have been sent to hospital after a vehicle crashed through a brick wall and into a shopping mall fitness centre.
Paramedics say five people were in serious condition and two had minor injuries.
Police say they were called to the single-vehicle crash around 7:40 a.m. at the mall in the city’s northwest, near Gainsborough Road and Wonderland Road.
Sgt. Sandasha Bough says a vehicle went through the shopping centre’s brick wall and into a fitness centre.
She says it was open at the time and people inside were injured.
Bough says the driver remained at the scene.
