Police put up reward, reveal details in Toronto woman’s 2024 disappearance
Written by The Canadian Press on April 24, 2026
Police are offering a $25,000 reward and revealing more details in the case of a Toronto woman missing for almost two years.
Halton regional police say the reward is for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the August 2024 disappearance of Irma Galastica.
Police say the 34-year-old’s last known location was a Burlington home where the search for Galastica uncovered an alleged secret drug lab.
The man who owned the home is wanted on charges related to the parallel drug investigation.
At a news conference, police say Galastica went to the home early on Aug. 31, 2024 with a group of people after a night out at a now-defunct Hamilton nightclub.
She was reported missing by her landlord two weeks later.
