Man, 19, charged with attempted murder after shooting in Brampton, Ont.: police

BRAMPTON — Police in Peel Region say a man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged carjacking attempt and shooting on Monday, as officers search for a second suspect.
Police say they were called to the scene near Central Park Drive and Glenvale Boulevard in Brampton, Ont., just before noon after two suspects allegedly tried to a carjack a vehicle with two people inside.
They say two victims were shot during the incident, and one was left with non-life-threatening injuries while the other remains in critical condition.
Police say one suspect was arrested and allegedly found with a loaded illegal firearm.
Police say a 19-year-old man from Brampton is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder using a firearm and aggravated assault.
They say officers continue to look for the second suspect and anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.
