TORONTO — Toronto police say a man in his 20s has died after he was hit by a vehicle, thrown from his motorcycle and slammed into a parked car.
Officers were called Sunday afternoon to the area of Danforth Avenue and Byng Avenue in the city’s east end.
They say the 21-year-old was riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he was hit by a Toyota Highlander that was turning left.
Police say the motorcycle went out of control and smashed into the parked car.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries, while the driver of the Toyota remained at the scene.
Insp. Errol Watson told reporters Sunday it’s too early to speculate whether speed played a role in the crash.
