Written by The Canadian Press on November 30, 2025
Wintry weather continued to hammer southern Ontario on Sunday, with snowfall warnings in place for much of the region.
The warnings issued by Environment Canada stretched from Sault Ste. Marie, east to Chalk River, and south to Lake Erie.
They called for between five and 20 centimetres of total snowfall, easing into scattered flurries or rain showers throughout the day.
Strong wind gusts were expected off Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, including for Niagara Falls, Toronto and Kingston.
Lake effect snow late Sunday and into early Monday was set to deliver another wallop to already hard-hit areas off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
Hydro One reported several hundred customers were without power Sunday in different parts of the province.
