Another round of winter weather on the way for snow-walloped Ontario

Written by on November 29, 2025

More winter weather is on the way for snow-covered Ontario.

Warnings are in place across much of southern Ontario where Environment Canada is calling for between five and 20 centimetres of snowfall by Sunday.

Areas off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay already digging out from this week’s storm are expected to be hardest hit.

Environment Canada says multiple rounds of snow this week have already dumped just shy of 60 centimetres off Lake Huron, with areas west of Kitchener seeing closer to 30 centimetres.

Meteorologist Isabel Richardson says the weather office got varying reports of 20 to 40 centimetres around Barrie.

She says wind gusts could get up to 60 kilometres an hour across much of southern Ontario, and closer to 70 or 80 kilometres an hour for the northeastern shores of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
