Male in life-threatening condition after Saturday night shooting in Toronto

TORONTO — Toronto police say one person is in life-threatening condition after a shooting in the city’s downtown on Saturday night.

Police say they responded to gunshots shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the area of John Street and Adelaide Street.

They say a male victim was found shot and was taken to hospital.

Police say the suspects initially fled in a vehicle, but three people have since been arrested.

Parts of John Street and Adelaide Street are closed as police investigate.
