Written by The Canadian Press on April 8, 2025
Toronto police say a man in his 60s suffered life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a gas pump hose as another man started driving away with the nozzle still attached to his car.
Police say officers were called to a gas station in Etobicoke around 5:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a collision.
They say a man in his 20s was leaving the gas station with the nozzle still attached to his car.
Police say the hose was then pulled off the gas pump, striking the man in his 60s and causing him to fall.
Police say there are no outstanding suspects and no charges have been laid at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
